ExpressCard, transmitting faster than PCMCIA and USB 2.0, is the latest advancement in computer technology. A line up of extensive products, including SIM card reader, is available from DataFab ExpressCard Reader/Adapter series. Data (for example, phone directory) saved on SIM cards, used in cell phones, may be backed up onto other devices, via ExpressCard /34mm or 54mm slot. Two models designed specifically to accommodate SIM card are also equipped to read M2 (Memory Stick Micro) or microSD card. Devices are add-in and requiring no cable for uplink. Patents are pending for this series of readers/adapters. These products were debuted on Nov. 16 at ExpressCard Technology Showcase in Taipei.
